The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown: A Hospital Gown Alternative You'll Actually Want To Wear

As moms of two, we know that hospital gowns are well and fine but they're not exactly comfortable or, let's be honest, aesthetically pleasing. They're difficult to maneuver in and don't protect your modesty. When you're welcoming your baby, you deserve to feel confident every step (or push) of the way. Thankfully, we've got you covered literally and figuratively with the Luxe Labor and Delivery Gown. Here's what makes it different.

The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown

Handmade in Los Angeles using sustainable, soft-to-the-touch overstock jersey fabric, the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown features easy-closure snap buttons down the front and back of the gown to make delivery, skin-to-skin, nursing, pumping, epidural placement (if desired) and bonding more seamless.

Motherhood is life-changing. You deserve a chic hospital gown alternative that reflects that, whether you're making your first foray into motherhood or your fifth.

What Makes The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown Different?

Skin-To-Skin Accessible

Moments after meeting your baby, you'll hold them to your chest to initiate skin-to-skin contact. The Luxe Gown allows you to easily open your gown (one-handed even) so you can cuddle your beautiful baby.

Nursing Friendly

Like skin-to-skin, you'll likely try to get baby to latch shortly after delivery. Unlike a hospital gown, the Luxe Gown allows for seamless nursing.

"This labor gown was amazing!..I honestly couldn't have felt more comfortable the entire time! Labor was a DREAM and I was so comfy and felt like my best self. My nurse was so impressed with the gown too! Especially the buttons for the epidural!" - Carly F., Los Angeles

Provides Easy Epidural Placement

While the open back of hospital gowns may be handy for epidural placement, they're sure not fun to walk around in. *shudders remembering walking down the hospital hall with a bare bottom* The Luxe Labor and Delivery Gown unsnaps fully down the back so your anesthesiologist can place the epidural then snap you back up. The epidural wire can be fed through the gap between the fabric covered button snaps so you can lay down comfortably and don't have to have the wire coming out of your sleeve.

Features Breathable Fabric & Sleeves

Sure, labor isn't the most comfortable experience a woman can have but the Luxe Gown's buttery-soft sustainable jersey fabric is breathable so you can keep your cool. It feels soft to the touch on your skin, even for those with sensitive skin. And the flutter sleeves help keep you ventilated.

A Fit That Compliments Your Body

Once you're ready to give birth, you might no longer feel comfortable in some of your clothes. The Luxe Labor and Delivery Gown nurtures and stretches to accommodate your ever-changing body, allowing you to focus on what's to come. Our gowns are one-size fits most, however, we also have a plus size model in the works (email us if you're interested!).

Comfort & Style

Unlike the hospital gown and other alternatives on the market, the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown celebrates your personal style so you can look back at your first photos with your baby and like the way you look. We offer gowns in a variety of trim color options such as powder blue, dusty pink and French blue. And  because we use sustainable overstock fabrics, our color options change with each drop.

Perfect For Labor, Delivery & Postpartum

The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown is meant to be worn during all stages of labor, delivery and postpartum. So you can wear it as you labor at home, travel to the hospital, get checked in, welcome your baby and move along to the postpartum ward. Many of our moms have said they washed the gown when they got back home and wore it during the fourth trimester for comfort and function during their recovery and beyond.
