Is the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown suitable for different stages of labor?

The gown ensures comfort throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Can the Luxe Gown & the R&R Gowns be used for skin-to-skin contact or breastfeeding after delivery and in postpartum?

Absolutely. The gowns are designed with easy-release snaps down the front. This allows for easy skin-to-skin and breastfeeding after delivery, promoting bonding with your newborn.

What fabric are the gowns made of and are they breathable for comfort during labor and during postpartum?

We hand pick each roll of fabric of light-weight, buttery-soft jersey to ensure it's high-quality and soft-to-the-touch. We pick from a selection of high-end overstock fabric so that all of our products are sustainably made.

Does the Luxe Gown have easy access for medical interventions and monitoring during labor?

The gown features convenient snaps down the back for epidural placement if desired. It has snaps down the front for postpartum check-ups, ensuring easy access and efficiency. In the case of an emergency, the gown can be completely removed quickly and easily.

 

Is the Labor & Delivery Gown only for the use in the hospital?

It can be worn wherever you choose to give birth. We find many of our moms enjoy wearing the gown or the R&R Gown throughout their fourth trimester as they're recovering or even in their third trimester as a lounging option. Ultimately, it's meant to give pregnant, birthing and postpartum moms comfort, no matter where they are.

Do you have to wear a hospital gown in labor?

This is a personal decision that should be run by your doctor, however, hospitals typically allow you to wear whatever you'd like during the labor, birthing and the recovery process. 

Does the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown have an open back?

While the design doesn't include an open back, the gown has snaps all down the back so your back can be easily accessed while also maintaining your modesty.

Are there any specific features designed to enhance comfort during labor, such as side pockets?

Yes, our gown is has side pockets to ensure you keep track of items like chapstick, a labor comb or labor mantra cards. 

Can the gowns accommodate different body sizes and shapes?

The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown and the R&R Postpartum Gowns are crafted with stretchy and accommodating jersey to fit most body sizes and shapes. Gowns are available in standard, plus and petite sizes. 

Are the gowns machine washable for easy cleaning?

Yes, the gowns can be washed and hang dried for best care. This ensures you can use your gowns as long as you'd like. 

Is the R&R Gown suitable for postpartum?

Yes, the gown ensures comfort and style during the postpartum period and beyond. It can also be worn during pregnancy thanks to the stretch of the fabric. 

Does the R&R Gown have easy access for after-birth care?

The gown features convenient snaps down the front for postpartum check-ups, ensuring easy access and efficiency. The gown can be completely removed quickly and easily and makes for more seamless skin-to-skin and breastfeeding. It's also ideal for after-birth care following vaginal or C-section deliveries. 

Does the R&R Gown have an open back?

Unlike the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown, the R&R does not include back snaps. 

Are there any specific features on the R&R Gown that make it postpartum-friendly?

Yes, our gown is has side pockets to ensure you keep track of items like chapstick, bottles, nursing and pumping essentials, board books, your phone and personal items. The snaps down the front also make breastfeeding, pumping, skin-to-skin and after-birth personal care more accessible. 

What's the difference between the Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown and the R&R Postpartum Gown?

The Luxe Labor & Delivery Gown includes a set snaps down the back for epidural placement if desired. The R&R Gown does not include the back snaps but does have the same snaps down the front. The Luxe Gown is meant for delivery and the R&R is suited toward postpartum, C-section recovery, lounging and sleeping. 

What are the shipping options available for Little Shadows products?

We offer free shipping on orders over $200 and will provide a tracking number through USPS. In addition to standard USPS shipping, we offer expedited shipping at an additional cost to ensure your gown arrives in a timely manner. Shipping costs and delivery times may vary depending on your location and will be calculated at time of checkout.

Can I track my order after it has been shipped?

Yes, once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status of your delivery online.

How long will it take to ship a pre-order item?

Ship time varies depending on when you purchase a pre-order item, but the maximum time you can expect to wait for your item to be shipped is 2 weeks from when you place your order. Please keep in mind that we will do our best to ship sooner if possible. We will also keep you posted with updates to shipping times as production status is made avaialble to us.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship our products internationally. Additional shipping fees and customs duties may apply, depending on your location.

Do you offer gift wrapping services?

Yes, we offer gift wrapping services for an additional fee. Simply select the gift wrapping option at checkout, and your order will be beautifully wrapped and ready for gifting.

What is the Little Shadows return/exchange policy?

Returns or exchanges can be made for up to 14 days after your package is marked as "delivered." Initiate your return or exchange within the14-day window by emailing us at hello@shoplittleshadows.com. We'll send you a return shipping label. Your item(s) should be unused, with tags still intact and in the original packaging. 

Please note the following:

After your return is received and inspected for quality, a refund will be initiated within 14 business days to your original form of payment. Please note that the timing of the refund depends on the financial institution used at checkout.

If you haven't received your refund within 14 business days of your return being marked as delivered, we recommend first contacting your bank or credit card company to ensure the refund isn't still pending on their end. If they confirm no pending transactions, please reach out to us at hello@shoplittleshadows.com with your order number, return tracking number, and the date your return was marked as delivered. We'll be happy to assist you further.

Domestic exchanges are free. For refunds, a $10 re-stocking fee will apply.At the present time, international exchanges aren't available. However, you're welcome to return your item and place a new order. Duties, taxes, and shipping costs may apply.

What items are ineligible for returns/exchanges?

We want to ensure your shopping experience is as delightful as possible, so here's a quick rundown on our ineligible items that cannot be exchanged or returned:

  1. Customized Items - This includes custom orders and any embroidered items that have personalization.
  2. All pre-order sale items - Pre-order products are made to order and are thus ineligible for return. 
  3. All final sale items - Final sale items are such a rare and fun find, but they are final sale. 
  4. Gift Cards - While they're perfect for gifting, they are also non-refundable. 
  5. Digital Products - These items such as the Digital Pregnancy Journal are available for instant download and are not eligible for returns or exchanges

To qualify for a return, your items should be in tip-top shape:

  • They should be unworn, unwashed, and still in their original condition, complete with all tags attached (if they came with any) and in the original packaging.

  • Let's keep them sparkling clean too--no hair, glitter, fuzz, or any mystery markings, please.

What should I do if my gown arrives damaged or defective?

If your gown arrives damaged or defective, please contact our customer service team immediately at hello@shoplittleshadows.com with photos of the damage or defect. We will work quickly to resolve the issue and provide you with a replacement or refund as needed.

Can I return or exchange a personalized or customized gown?

Unfortunately, personalized or customized gowns are final sale and cannot be returned. Please double-check your customization details before placing your order.

How long does it take to process a refund or exchange?

Refunds and exchanges are typically processed within 7-14 business days after we've recieved your returned item. You will receive email confirmation once your refund or exchange has been processed.

What if I receive a damaged item?

While we take measures to avoid this, accidents happen. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please reach out to us at hello@shoplittleshadows.com within 3 days of your package being marked as delivered.
